Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants must be youth aged 15 to 30 who reside in Canada, but not in the province of Quebec — including Gatineau.

Exception: Youth living in Quebec may apply only if their project clearly and directly benefits communities outside of the Quebec region (such as Ottawa).

Projects must be 100% youth-led, with all key decisions made by a group of at least 3 youth.
(Solo projects are not eligible.)

The project proposal must include the names and contact information of all group members.

All three youth group members must:

  • Be actively involved in planning and delivery
  • Be listed in the application form
  • Be available to attend the final interview and sign the agreement if the project is approved

     

Have clearly defined roles and equal responsibility for project deliverables and decisions

Not Eligible

  • Projects based solely in Quebec (including Gatineau) with no clear benefit to Ottawa or other regions outside Quebec
  • One-time events with no ongoing community involvement
  • Competitive sports teams applying only for league or tournament registration fees
